This class is for 4 and 5 year olds who have missed the deadline date for Kindergarten and for children who already know all their basics and want to be challenged in learning. It focuses on reading and math and will include center time, craft time, and lots of fun learning. Everyday we will have specials which will include music & movement, gym time, and so much more.

Schedule:

Arrival: Your child is eager to learn and get involved in today’s opening activity. They can do their work on their own and can follow the routine independently.

Circle Time: Our Starz class begins each day with a review of Spanish, Sign Language, the calendar, weather, letters, and sight words. Your child will take on classroom jobs, work as a team to create a positive learning environment, and help others when needed.

Small group activities: Your Starz kid will be able to explore their environment by following directions, making predictions, experimenting, and forming conclusions. They will learn through play and get a chance to record their explorations each day. They will visit the science, math, language, dramatic plays, and blocks centers.

One-on-one time: Each day, your child gets time with the teacher to work on individualized skills and lessons; your child’s teacher wants to know their strengths and weaknesses to give them the very best preschool experience. Your child may work on mathematics, reading, telling time or handwriting.

Arts and Crafts: Our Starz will choose materials and create their own product. Your child will be responsible for getting what she needs and cleaning up after themselves in the classroom.

Music and Movement/Gross Motor Activities: Our Starz will work on more complex music, movies, and games. Your child will learn various types of music and dances as well as sports.
